Michael received his PhD in Biophysics at Kharkov National University, Ukraine in 1999. He then was awarded Visiting Fellowship in Laboratory of Experimental and Computational Biology, NCI under supervision of Bob Jernigan and Victor Zhurkin, where he got training in computational structural biology. In 2007 he joined Peter Park’s lab at Harvard University Medical School as a Postdoctoral Fellow where he was introduced to the field of epigenomics and focused on studying the role of chromatin structure in gene regulation. He joined the faculty of the Molecular Biology Department, MGH in 2012.

Brejnev Muhire Postdoctoral Fellow

Brejnev obtained his BS in Mathematics from the University of the Western Cape and his PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. During his PhD studies he was working on functional genomic and strucutral organization of nucleic acids. Brejnev joined the group in 2016.

Matthew Booker Postdoctoral Fellow[email protected]

Matthew obtained a BS in Plant Science from Purdue University, a BA in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts at Boston, and an MS in Biology from the University of Michigan. He obtained his PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry from Brown University where studied the functional diversification of Protein Phosphatase 2A subunit gene families in plants. Matthew joined the Tolstorukov group in 2017.
